What's the Change?
When using this Service...
When you've registered the telephone company that you want to use, you don't need to dial that telephone company's access code (a number like 00XY) any more. That will make using the phone more convenient than ever.
When You Call...
Domestic Calls
Just follow these steps to dial via your telephone company.
For a local call, dial:
Telephone number |
Example: Calling within Yokohama |
XXX - XXXX |
For an in-prefecture long-distance or out-of-prefecture long-distance call, dial:
Area code + Telephone number |
Example: Calling from Tokyo to a Yokohama number |
045 - XXX - XXXX |

International Calls
Just follow the steps below. If you've registered in the international category, follow the first set. If you haven't registered, follow the second set.
If you've registered for MYLINE or MYLINE PLUS, dial:
010 + Country code + Area code + Telephone number |
Example: Calling a number in the United States |
010 - 1 - XXX - XXX - XXXX |
If you haven't registered for MYLINE or MYLINE PLUS, dial:
If the call is from a cell phone, PHS, or public telephone:
Telephone company's access code + 010 + Country code +
Area code + Telephone number |
Example: Calling a number in the United States |
00XY (Telephone company's access code) - 010 - 1 - XXX - XXX - XXXX |
- The old dialing sequence (the telephone company's access code + the country code + the telephone number in the destination country) became invalid as of April 30, 2003.
- You can continue to dial rate inquiries, operator-assisted calls, international collect calls, home country direct calls, credit card, and prepaid card calls in the same manner as before.
- Please note that in the case of international calls, the list of countries that you can call to and the rates differ depending on the telephone company. For details, please contact the telephone company.
