Q1:
After I register for MYLINE, will I be able to continue using the services I now use from my telephone company?
A1:
This FAQ answers questions about MYLINE, not telephone company services. To answer questions about telephone companies' services would take great time and effort and is beyond the scope of this FAQ. Please ask the telephone companies about the services they offer.

Q2:
Which telephone companies will require a separate service contract?
A2:
Customers who use one of the following 2 telephone companies -- Rakuten Communications and ARTERIA Networks -- will need to make a separate service contract with those companies in addition to applying for MY LINE or MY LINE PLUS. However, customers who use SoftBank 0061 will need separate service contracts only for in-prefecture long-distance and out-of-prefecture long-distance calls (long-distance calls within the same prefecture and to different prefectures).
Q3:
What if I call from a cellular phone or PHS phone?
A3:
If you are using a mobile/cell phone, PHS, or a public telephone, dial
the telephone company's access code + 010 + the country code + telephone number in the destination country
As of April 30, 2003, the old dialing sequence (the telephone company's access code + country code + telephone number in the destination country) became invalid.
Q4:
What about calls to 117, 110, 119 and 177, as well as collect calls?
A4:
MYLINE services do not apply to 117,110, and 119 calls. Hence, please dial as usual. You can, however, make long-distance calls to 177 to hear weather forecasts for specific areas using MYLINE. Also, MYLINE services do not apply to services such as collect call services provided by various telephone companies. Please contact the telephone company you use for more details (contact numbers are provided in the list following Q.1)
Q5:
Will I be able to keep on using the PBX I use now?
Will any changes in settings be necessary?
A5:
If you use a PBX (Private Branch Exchange) that selects a designated telephone company by means of ACR or an adapter, and you register a different telephone company for MYLINE PLUS, the ACR or adapter function will not operate. Please be aware of this.
In addition, if you have installed a system in the PBX to control calling charges and it is set to select a different telephone company from the one selected by MYLINE PLUS, there is a possibility that calling charges will in fact be different. It may be necessary to change its settings. For details, please contact the company that sold the PBX.
