ANNOUNCEMENT OF CHANGING THE DIALING ORDER OF
INTERNATIONAL CALLS

- The Old Dialing Order *1 Will Be Unavailable at the End of April 2003 -

MYLINE Carriers Association

MYLINE Carriers Association, the association of providers of MYLINE services, announces that the new dialing order of international calls, which inaugurated on May 1, 2001 with the launch of MYLINE services, will be the only dialing order from May 2003. The new dialing order, which requires adding the prefix 010 to all international calls, will at that time totally replace the old dialing order*1, after a two-year co-existing period ending April 30, 2003, during which both methods were available.

For this reason, MYLINE Carriers Association and association companies will promote the new dialing order all the more to make the public aware of the change of dialing so as to minimize confusion among customers.

The new dialing order requires adding the prefix 010 to indicate that the call is an international call. In this new method, the number of a typical international call is dialed in the following order:
00XY (a telephone company's access code)*2 + 010 + country code + phone number.
Please refer to the Attachment 1 for details of the new dialing order and the time of the final switchover.

The contents of the promotion (and activities scheduled) by the MYLINE Carriers Association and association companies are listed in outline form on the Attachment 2.

In the international calling category, customers will be able to register for MYLINE and MYLINE PLUS services only from the 10 telephone companies listed in the Attachment 3.

*1 The old dialing order was as follows ; 00XY (a telephone company's access code) + country code + phone number.
*2 Dialing the telephone company's access code is not necessary if you have registered for MYLINE or MYLINE PLUS.

For more information, please contact the manufacturer or the equipment maintenance company.
o You can dial rate inquiries, operator-assisted calls, international collect calls, home country direct calls, credit card and prepaid card calls in the same way you always have.
o If you have registered MYLINE PLUS but want to make a call via a telephone company different from the one you have registered, please dial the prefix 122 before that telephone company's access code to cancel MYLINE PLUS.

* 00XY is an access code of telephone company.
Remember, you must always dial your telephone company's access code before 010 if you have not registered for MYLINE or MYLINE PLUS services or if you are using a cell phone, PHS, or public telephone. Each telephone company has a different way of handling international calls from cell phones, PHS, or public telephones.
